Three Dimensional Imaging for Magnetohydrodynamic Computations

چکیده
Data produced by three dimensional MHD calculations are often difficult to visualize. Here we present a technique to view field lines of vector fields and one to display multiple isosurfaces of scalar fields. These methods do not rely on expensive commercial software and are general enough to be applied to other research sectors where visualization of 3D fields is important. Printed copies of the images are easily obtainable with ordinary printers. An optional procedure, to facilitate comparison with observations and consequently of more limited application field, is also discussed.

Regularity Criteria for the Three-dimensional Magnetohydrodynamic Equations
This paper studies the three-dimensional density-dependent incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations. First, a regularity criterion is proved which allows the initial density to contain vacuum. Then we establish another blow-up criterion in the Besov space Ḃ0 ∞,2 when the positive initial density is bounded away from zero. Third, we prove a global nonexistence result for initial density with...
متن کاملOn Computations for Thermal Radiation in MHD Channel Flow with Heat and Mass Transfer
This study examines the simultaneous effects of heat and mass transfer on the three-dimensional boundary layer flow of viscous fluid between two infinite parallel plates. Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) and thermal radiation effects are present. The governing problems are first modeled and then solved by homotopy analysis method (HAM). Influence of several embedded parameters on the velocity, concent...
متن کاملEffects of variations in magnetic Reynolds number on magnetic field distribution in electrically conducting fluid under magnetohydrodynamic natural convection
In this study the effect of magnetic Reynolds number variation on magnetic distribution of natural convection heat transfer in an enclosure is numerically investigated. The geometry is a two dimensional enclosure which the left wall is hot, the right wall is cold and the top and bottom walls are adiabatic. Fluid is molten sodium with Pr=0.01 and natural convection heat transfer for Rayleigh num...
متن کاملCompactness of Weak Solutions to the Three-dimensional Compressible Magnetohydrodynamic Equations
Abstract. The compactness of weak solutions to the magnetohydrodynamic equations for the viscous, compressible, heat conducting fluids is considered in both the three-dimensional space R and the three-dimensional periodic domains. The viscosities, the heat conductivity as well as the magnetic coefficient are allowed to depend on the density, and may vanish on the vacuum. This paper provides a d...
